hello sunday
The weather has been crazy here in Missouri. We had snow this last week and sixty five degree weather! I love spring weather but when the snow melts my heart becomes a little sad. The snow is so pretty and I love the cozy feeling that comes along with it.
So I love this outfit! When it comes to putting together an outfit I start with accessories such as my hat or shoes! Today I started with the hat then worked my way down. I like an edgy look (leather jacket and beanie) with a touch of girly (pink lips and curls). At first I was going to wear pumps but it was still a little to cold for that. Once it warms up I'm going to wear this combo again and put on pumps! I'll keep you posted :)
I hope you have a great week!

Sweater weather
This winter I have totally been into oversized tops (sweaters, sweatshirts, flannels) and black pants. I love the easy, comfy, and casual look it has. To be honest I usually shop for my oversized tops in the guys section, but we will talk about that in a different post.
A style of oversized top I am absolutely loving is the chunky knit sweater. It's warm AND it hides all my winter fluff in the midsection :) How can you go wrong with that?!? Throw it on with some leggings or a parachute pant (like I'm wearing), booties or pumps (for a more dressy look), and grab a rockin hat; and you're lookin good!
Have a great week!

cloudy days
It has been one cloudy week here in Springfield! Personally, I love the cloudy days. They inspire me, make me feel cozy, and it's as if the world has slowed down for a moment. Most of all, it makes me want to be in a deer stand with my Daddy waiting for my next target! Those are the moments I live for.
I love fur! I'm currently searching for a faux fur coat. I know some people think they can't pull off fur but YOU CAN! I don't think fur is only made for some. God made fur for all! It's not like nude leggings, which in that case, NO ONE should ever try, ha!
I don't know if you noticed but I added a little detail to my boots. My husband and I made leather journal covers last night and I decided it was only right to use the left overs for some boot detail. I just took a strand of leather and wrapped it around the boot three times and tied it! Easy peasy! I was happy with the outcome :)
Lastly, I was so excited my cousins came into town this weekend! We all went to church together, ate lunch, and went to the coolest store ever, Bass Pro! Drake was attached to Josh's hip the whole time and I'm pretty sure he was ok with it :) I love that little man!
Have a great week! 18 days until Christmas!

Blue who?
I posted about this dress in the spring but I thought I would restyle it for the fall. Just throw on a leather jacket and some ankle booties then you're good to go! I love a good cotton dress. You can mix it up with different pieces and it's as if you have a whole new outfit every time!
It was baptism service at church this morning. Which I love because it happens during worship and after the individual is baptized everyone cheers—literally the coolest experience. It was beautiful. The perfect picture of grace and love. It always brings me so much joy watching others get baptized. At North Point, we believe it's important to create a safe environment for people to meet Jesus. I love that. When people walk through our doors there is no judgement, a casual/relaxed atmosphere, and genuine love. We want to be a church that unchurched people want to attend. I think that's the way Jesus would want it and I'm so thankful to be a part of the North Point family.
